Welcome to Hearth Counseling & Consulting

I am Catalina Gomez, LCSW, a bilingual therapist passionate about supporting adults who have experienced trauma in English and Spanish. I accept clients as they are and focus on the goals most important to them. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, flexible, and adaptable—drawing from evidence-based practices while creating space for compassion and authenticity. I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where healing and growth can unfold at each client’s pace.

    • I bring experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from age four and up, with a particular focus on neurodiversity and trauma. My background includes both medical and private practice settings, which allows me to provide compassionate, well-rounded care tailored to each client’s needs.

My Approach to Therapy

I offer a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can feel empowered and explore and express themselves without hesitation. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, flexible, and adaptable. It is based in humility, patience, and understanding.

  • Maternal & Perinatal Mental Health – Supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and related transitions.

  • Anxiety & Depression – Building coping tools to manage worry, fear, and low mood.

  • Neurodiversity – Affirming and supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, and other neurodiverse experiences.

  • Life Transitions – Navigating changes such as parenthood, career shifts, relocation, or personal growth.

  • Immigrants & Refugees – Providing culturally responsive care for adjustment, identity, and belonging.

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) - Encouraging acceptance and commitment to personal values

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Identifying unhelpful thought patterns and developing healthier coping strategies

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - Building emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - Processing trauma and emotional distress

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Identifying and labeling different parts of ourselves through acceptance and curiosity

  • Mindfulness - Creating & strengthening awareness and stress management through the mind-body connection.

A Little About Me

Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities like paddleboarding, hiking, skiing, and fishing. Indoors, I enjoy cooking, reading, and playing video games with friends and family, as well as my two dogs.
