Jessica Stutz, MSW, LCSW

Welcome to Hearth Counseling & Consulting

Hello, and thank you for considering Hearth Counseling & Consulting! I’m Jessica Stutz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their sense of identity, purpose, and well-being. I provide a collaborative, compassionate space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you explore your inner world, whether you're managing anxiety, healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, or seeking greater clarity and self-understanding.

Education & Professional Background

  • Master’s in Social Work: UNC-Chapel Hill

  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Professional Experience:

    • Working as a psychotherapist in a specialty treatment facility for eating disorders and comorbid mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, OCD)

    • Provided care across multiple levels of treatment: inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP)

    • Transitioned to private practice to offer individualized support

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should be a safe, comfortable, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach, I help clients highlight their inherent resilience, values, and capacity for growth. We often explore how early experiences, interpersonal relationships, and core beliefs shape current challenges—working together to heal, shift patterns, and embrace change, even when it feels scary. I practice through a multicultural, anti-oppressive, and social justice lens, honoring each client’s unique identities, experiences, and worldviews.
