My Approach to Therapy

My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, compassion, and the belief in each person’s inherent capacity for growth. I believe that therapy is a safe space for exploration, where individuals can uncover the causes of their struggles, learn new skills to navigate life’s obstacles, and ultimately create the life they desire.

I understand that everyone has a different lived experience and I make sure to honor that. I incorporate an understanding that multiple aspects of our identities, communities, social environments, and systems of oppression influence our well-being. Whether you are working through a past trauma, adjusting to a new life transition, or would like to learn more about yourself, you deserve a judgment-free and collaborative space to work through these challenges.

Area of Focus

A significant part of my work focuses on supporting individuals, women and mothers in the following areas:

  • Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder) – Management of mood-related conditions affecting daily life.

  • Trauma & EMDR Therapy – Processing past trauma using EMDR and trauma-informed care.

  • Interpersonal Concerns – Improving relationships and social interactions.

  • Sexual Orientation & Gender-Affirming Care – Supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in embracing their identities.

  • Reproductive & Maternal Mental Health – Supporting mental well-being related to infertility, miscarriage, infant loss, pregnancy, and postpartum depression and anxiety.

  • Adjustment to Motherhood & Parenthood – Guidance through identity shifts and challenges of becoming a parent.

Therapeutic Techniques & Modalities

I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Encouraging acceptance and commitment to personal values
