Ciera Edmonds, MSW, LCSWA

Welcome to Hearth Counseling & Consulting

Hi, and thank you for being here. I’m Ciera Edmonds (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families as they move through life’s transitions and challenging moments.

My practice is built on creating relationships that are grounded in trust, honesty, and care. I support individuals dealing with a wide range of experiences, including trauma, grief, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and emotional stress. A significant focus of my work is supporting women, birthing individuals, and their partners through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum experiences, fertility challenges, and the adjustments to parenthood. Regardless of your story, background, or identity, I am here to accompany you as a compassionate partner in your healing journey.

Education & Professional Background

  • Professional Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience supporting diverse individuals, families, couples, and minority communities

    • Experience with refugee and immigrant populations, reproductive transitions, and intergenerational healing

My Approach to Therapy

I take a person-centered, relational, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. My role is not to fix or direct, but to partner with you in uncovering the resilience, insight, and power that already exist within you. I draw on both evidence-based and holistic methods, integrating mind and body in ways that support healing, self-awareness, and lasting change.

My style is relational, intuitive, and holistic. I offer a safe and compassionate space for your story, while gently inviting you to explore new ways of being, coping, and connecting. My goal is to foster an environment where your full self is welcomed and where rest, resistance, laughter, grief, and joy can coexist.

I deeply respect the cultural wisdom, values, and survival strategies each individual brings. I strive to create a space where your story is honored, your identities are affirmed, and your full self is met with respect, curiosity, and care.

A Little About Me

Recently relocated to the Raleigh area, I find joy in the small, nourishing moments, like discovering a new vegan treat, napping in the sun, walking through nature, studying astrology, caring for my houseplants, getting in a good workout, or slowly improving my roller-skating skills. I believe rest is a form of resistance, and joy is a form of resilience.

I bring my whole self into this work, and I’d be honored to support you in doing the same.

If you’re feeling disconnected, discouraged, or ready to explore new ways of being, I am here to walk alongside you.
