April is Here! Uncover Stress Relief Strategies and Meet Our Team.
April has a way of sneaking up on you...
The calendar flips, the days get longer, and somehow the pace doesn't slow down — it speeds up. If you've been feeling it lately, you're not imagining it. You're definitely not alone.
This month, we're sharing a few meaningful updates from the Hearth team including two incredible clinicians we want you to know, an important conversation about stress and who it hits hardest, and a reminder that support for teens is closer than you think.
We're glad you're here.
Nobody wakes up one day and decides to be overwhelmed. It builds. Slowly, quietly...until the to-do list feels impossible, the patience runs thin, and the version of yourself you actually like feels just out of reach.
We call it stress because it's easier than naming everything underneath it.
For many people, especially immigrants, moms trying to navigate summer camps and kids schedules, women of color, and those holding space for others while quietly running on empty, stress isn't just a busy season. It's the ongoing weight of navigating systems, relationships, and identities that demand so much and rarely ask how are you, really?
This April, National Stress Awareness Month andNational Minority Health Month share the samemessage: what you're carrying deserves to be seen. Not managed into silence. Not pushed through until the next hard thing arrives. Actually seen, by someone trained to hold it with you, in the full context of who you are and where you've been.
That's what it means to be culturally responsive. Not a checkbox.
A different kind of conversation entirely.
You don't have to keep describing yourself around the edges of your experience.
There's a place for all of it here.

Izabella Munoz, MS, LCMHC-A
Teens & Adults, Life Transitions,
Emotional Regulation
Some seasons of life are harder to make sense of than others.Things shift. Emotions feel heavier, and it’s not always clear how to move through it.
Izabella works with teens and adults navigating life transitions, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. She also supports clients processing experiences connected to church or religious communities — especially when something that once felt grounding now feels complicated or difficult to hold.
Her approach is thoughtful and grounded, helping clients better understand what they’re feeling and build the tools to move forward with more clarity and confidence.
She creates space for honest conversations, without pressure or judgment, so clients can show up as they are and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on them.
They're fine. (Except when they're not.)
You know the look. The "I'm fine" that lands just slightly off. The door that closes a little faster than it used to. The mood that shifted somewhere around last year and hasn't quite come back.
Teens are incredibly good at holding things together on the outside. What's happening underneath is often a different story, and most of them don't have the words for it yet, let alone the courage to say it out loud to someone they love.
That's not a failure. That's just adolescence right now, amplified by social media pressure, academic anxiety, identity questions, and a pace of life that doesn't leave much room to breathe, let alone feel.
Adolescent therapy at Hearth gives teens something most of them have never had: a space that's entirely theirs. No grades. No parental expectations in the room. Just a clinician who's genuinely curious about them, who helps them name what's heavy, understand what's happening, and build real
tools for the life they're actually living.
As summer approaches, schedules start to open up. There’s a little more flexibility. A little more breathing room. And for many families, it’s actually one of the best times to get teens connected to support.
No missed classes. No added academic pressure. Just space to start.
You don't have to wait for a crisis to reach out. In fact, the earlier the support, the better.
If something feels off, trust that.
April is a good month to put something down that you've been carrying too long.
Whether you're a current client, a fellow clinician, or someone who's been sitting on the edge of reaching out, we want you to know the door is open. No perfect moment required.
We're grateful to be part of your corner.
Warmly,
